I am pleased to write this inaugural Board Report to our membership to inform you on Board activities since July 2022. The current Board comprises eleven members, inclusive of two standing EXCO members, the National President and Secretary respectively.

The ANPA Board is committed to organizational strategy that will deliver Good Governance, Stakeholder Value, and Financial Stability.

Adoption of Recommendation for:
Honorary Membership status for Ogun State Nigeria based Dr. Oluwole Kukoyi, and for Federal Capital Territory Nigeria based Dr. Ibrahim Wada.
Approval of strategic partnerships with:
Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO): ANPA has entered a strategic partnership with the Global Echo Network to establish and operate a highly effective Nigeria ECHO network. This scalable model of virtual care will optimize clinical care in Nigeria by connecting ANPA members to local Nigerian medical providers. Project ECHO will establish Virtual Communities of Practice in Nigeria that collaboratively scale-up the capacity for local healthcare workers to treat patients in local communities.
Rotary Club District Nigeria: ANPA has entered a strategic partnership with the Rotary Club Nigeria to provide logistical support for ANPA’s in country activities, with an immediate focus on mitigation of HPV and polio in Nigeria.
United Nations Foundation: Seeking to develop ANPA enabled in-country competencies to eradicate malaria in Nigeria.
Board Performance Scorecard Committee: to develop process to evaluate performance of the BOD based on expectations outlined in ANPA Bylaws – Anyanwoke, Chukwumerije, Igbinadolor
EXCO Performance Scorecard Committee: to develop process to evaluate performance of the EXCO based on expectations outlined in ANPA Bylaws – Anyaogu, Ibekie, Jimoh
Board Calendarization Committee: to develop calendar of regularly scheduled Board meetings and process for regular EXCO communication to the Board – Edionwe, Eke (non-Board EXCO member), Kpaduwa, Logan, Maduekwe
Board Mission and Vision Committee: to develop process to evaluate ANPA Mission and Vision Statement – Aluko, Anyaogu, Edionwe, Jimoh
Board Administrative Secretariat Committee: to provide recommendations for structure, staffing and implementation of a new ANPA Executive Secretariat overseeing activities in the USA and Nigeria: – Aluko, Anyanwoke, Anyaogu, Chukwumerije, Logan
In furtherance of Financial Stability, the ANPA Board seeks to develop strategic partnerships of reciprocal value with US and global organizations that align with ANPA’s purpose. So doing we will build a diversified and sustainable pipeline of programmatic sponsorship and funding that will drive financial stability and enhance the ANPA brand globally over the future decades.
