Mississippi

About our Chapter
Our focus is giving to the community and helping to cultivate the future by mentoring medical students, residents and fellows in the USA and Nigeria. We focus on collaboration with the local community and churches by participating in health fairs and solidifying our community presence and educating the community on conditions such as sickle cell, autism, and peri-natal mortality.
Plus, we have a successful relationship and affiliation with medical students and medical residents of Nigerian extraction using contacts at University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC). And, we host residents’ and fellows’ graduation and welcome ceremonies as a way to stay connected with trainees who may need mentorship.
