Mid-Tennessee

About our Chapter
ANPA Mid TN first started as Medical and Dental Communities of Nashville about 3 decades ago but became officially inaugurated as a chapter in 2005. We are a trail-blazing and high -achieving chapter driven with a deep passion for success in what we do.
Our chapter consists mainly of practicing physicians, residents in training and an Alliance group made up of spouses of our practicing physician members. We do hold quarterly chapter meetings. As a chapter , we are strongly involved in volunteerism, philanthropy, medical missions (locally here in America and in Nigeria as part of national ANPA), fostering unity among our members through special programs like our yearly Valentine ball event, Nigeria Independence Day celebration, networking, supporting local nonprofit organizations in health missions (donation to the United Way), giving to the homeless /food banks, AND reaching out to local Nigerian community groups in TN (Yorubas, Edos, Igbos, Calabar, Urhobos groups) with financial assistance to needy members of these groups – especially during the earlier phase of the Covid pandemic.
We are also vitally involved the main stream National ANPA; we hosted the 2nd ANPA Winter board meeting when Dr. Aquadon Umoren was National President. Our members are also vitally involved in key committees at the National level.
