Re: Board of Directors’ Annual Report
Subject: 2025 Annual Report – Advancing Strategic Vision Through Leadership and Partnership

1. Introduction

On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is a profound honor to present this report reflecting the Board’s stewardship from June 2024 through April 2025. This period marked a defining chapter in ANPA’s history as we celebrated our 30th anniversary and reinforced our strategic direction under the second cycle of the new Board governance structure.

Working alongside the Executive Committee, the Board sought to translate our mission into measurable impact—advancing good governance, stakeholder value, and financial stability as guiding pillars.

2. Visionary Leadership in Action

Our year was shaped by deliberate, results-driven actions that positioned ANPA for sustained influence and global relevance.

  1. Financial Foresight and Accountability:

The Board maintained a disciplined focus on fiscal oversight, approving a suite of initiatives aimed at strengthening ANPA’s financial base and ensuring transparent operations. From the successful execution of the Lagos convention—our largest-ever event—to the completion of the 2024–2025 financial audit, each decision reflected our commitment to financial prudence and long-term sustainability.

B. Mission-Driven Expansion:

The Lagos convention was not only a celebration but a bold statement of intent. It became a springboard for the expansion of our educational and outreach programs, aligning with the Board’s vision to increase ANPA’s footprint in global health. Collaborations such as the partnership with the North American Taiwanese Medical Association (NATMA) demonstrate our resolve to engage globally for local impact.

C. Cultivating Partnerships for Impact:

Recognizing that collaboration amplifies outcomes, the Board cultivated new alliances and strengthened existing ones—through public-private partnerships, international collaborations, and health policy engagements. These efforts have extended ANPA’s reach and influence across continents and within Nigeria’s policy and healthcare systems.

3. Governance and Organizational Development

The Board convened consistently from June 2024 through April 2025, holding in-person and virtual meetings to ensure continuity and accountability. Key actions and outcomes included:

  1. Establishment of the Board Leadership Development Committee and the ANPA Foundation Leadership Search Committee, both designed to ensure effective succession planning.
  2. Creation and adoption of Board Norms and Culture, establishing a clear framework for governance standards.
  3. Dissemination and implementation of the Board and Executive Scorecards, a performance evaluation mechanism aligned with ANPA’s transparency values.
  4. Introduction of conflict-of-interest disclosures and formal ethics review processes to reinforce accountability.
  5. The Board also advanced its commitment to structural clarity—redefining committee mandates, supporting the transition to the ANPA Winter Meeting model, and aligning organizational leadership timelines for smoother governance.

4. Advancing Stakeholder Value and Global Engagement

In furtherance of stakeholder interests, the Board approved key proposals designed to expand member engagement and reinforce ANPA’s influence globally. These include:

  1. Support for membership dues restructuring to sustain core programs while expanding benefits.
  2. Formal recognition of the ANPA Secretariat in Nigeria, strengthening our physical and symbolic presence on the continent.
  3. Engagement with the Global Health Standard Care (GHSC) initiative and the PEF Fund, positioning ANPA at the forefront of cross-border medical collaboration.

5. Financial Stability and Strategic Growth

Ensuring a sustainable pipeline of funding remains central to the Board’s mandate. Through diversification of revenue sources, cultivation of partnerships, and initiation of the ANPA Business Arm, the organization is now poised to pursue long-term projects such as the Landmark Project in Nigeria. These efforts affirm ANPA’s evolution from a professional association to a global leadership engine in healthcare advocacy, education, and policy reform.

6. A Foundation for the Future

Every decision during this cycle reflects the Board’s unified vision to position ANPA for enduring excellence. The Lagos events, financial reforms, and governance innovations have collectively enhanced ANPA’s institutional strength, setting a trajectory of stability, influence, and impact.

Our work continues with unwavering dedication—to deepen stakeholder trust, strengthen ANPA’s infrastructure, and ensure that our mission of transforming health outcomes for Nigerians globally remains unshakeable.

7. Closing Reflections

As Chairman, I extend the Board’s profound gratitude to our members, chapters, and partners. Your dedication fuels the success of this great organization and inspires our continued pursuit of excellence. Together, guided by strategic foresight and a shared purpose, we are building an association that stands as the gold standard for diaspora-driven health leadership.

Very Respectfully,

Dr. Chine Logan
